I Love the way you make me Feel...

I Love the Way You Make Me Feel...

I love the way you look at me,
Your eyes so bright 'n blue.
I love the way you kiss me,
Your lips so soft 'n smooth.

I love the way you make me so happy,
'n the ways you show you care.
I love the way you say, "I Love You,"
'n the way you're always there.

I love the way you touch me,
Always sending chills down my spine.
I love that you are with me,
'n glad that you are mine.. !

The Story Of Sand And Stone...

Story of Sand 'n Stone...
A story tells that two friends were walking through the Desert.

During some point of the journey they had an argument,
'n one friend slapped the other one in the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt,
but without saying anything,
wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis,
where they decided to take a bath.
The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire 'n started drowning,
But
the friend saved him.

After he recovered from the near drowning,
he wrote on a stone: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

The friend who had slapped 'n saved his best friend asked him,"After I hurt you,
You wrote in the sand 'n now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied:
"When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away.
But,
When someone does something good for us,
we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

Learn to Write your Hurts in the Sand 'n To Carve Your Benifits In Stone...

They say it takes a minute to find a special person,
An hour to Appreciate them,
A day to love them,
But
An Entire Life to forget them.

Send this phrase to the people you'll never forget.
If you don't send it to me,

it means you're in a hurry 'n that you've forgotten your friends.
Take the time to live!

Do not value the THINGS you have in your Life.
But Value
WHO you have in your life!

Life's short. If you don't look Around once in a while, you might miss it.. !

Always Give Your Hundred Percent In Any Relationship...

Life is Beautiful...
A boy 'n a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her.

The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed.

The boy kept the biggest 'n the most beautiful marble aside 'n gave the rest to the girl. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised.

That night, the girl slept peacefully. But the boy couldn’t sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble.

Moral of the story:
If you don’t give your hundred percent in a relationship, you’ll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent.

100 Wonderful Inspirational Quotes That Will Make You Think...

Today, I was in my room contemplating on what to write, because since 2 weeks ago, I have been depressed due to My Mum that passed away on the 8/6/2010 and this has caused me some pains and worries. Suddenly my son walked in and had this cute smile on his face, he came straight to me and gave me a kiss and smiled back. At that moment, I had this relive and a thought came to me to write motivational quotes that can strengthen the depressed.
If you’ve time today, I invite you to join me in this self discovery journey as we go through these 100 wonderful inspirational positive quotes.
“Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits.”
Thomas Jefferson
“True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so wants nothing. The great blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not. ”
Senecan
“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail agai. Fail better.”
-Samuel Beckett
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”
― Winston Churchill
“When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don’t you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out. Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–You may succeed with another blow, Success is failure turned inside out–The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far; So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.”
Unknown
“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for fewer problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenges, wish for more wisdom.”
Earl Shoaf
“Hope is the expectation that something outside of ourselves, something or someone external, is going to come to our rescue and we will live happily ever after.”
Dr. Robert Anthony
“Every morning you are handed 24 golden hours. They are one of the few things in this world that you get free of charge. If you had all the money in the world, you couldn’t buy an extra hour. What will you do with this priceless treasure? Remember, you must use it, as it is given only once. Once wasted you cannot get it back.”
Anonymous
“To love means loving the unlovable. To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable. Faith means believing the unbelievable. Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless.”

On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.”
- Mahatma Gandhi
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we took so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened up for us”

Swami Vivekananda
“Speak when you’re angry, and you’ll make the best speech you’ll ever regret.”
Lawrence J. Peter
“There is a thought in your mind right now. The longer you hold on to it, the more you dwell upon it, the more life you give to that thought. Give it enough life, and it will become real. So make sure the thought is indeed a great one.”
Ralph Martson
“No one who lived through the Great Depression can ever look upon an unemployed person with anything but compassion. To me, there is no greater tragedy than a breadwinner willing to work, with a job skill but unable to find a market for that job skill. Back in those dark depression days I saw my father on a Christmas eve open what he thought was a Christmas greeting from his boss. Instead, it was the blue slip telling him he no longer had a job. How Conflict Can Improve Your Relationship...

How Conflict Can Improve Your Relationship...
Conflict gets a bad rap. We automatically assume that conflict will collapse a relationship. Some of us avoid conflict like the plague, thinking that if we close our eyes to a potential clash, it doesn’t exist.

“Engaging in conflict isn’t going to end the relationship, it’s avoiding the conflict [that might],” according to Michael Batshaw, LCSW, a New York City-based psychologist who specializes in couples.

He said that, “No problem is too small to acknowledge in a relationship.” Michigan relationship expert Terri Orbuch, Ph.D, agreed, 'n said, “sweat the small stuff.” Her almost 24-year research study with the same couples found that if you don’t address the small issues in your relationship, they just evolve into a bigger problem that’s then “really hard to unpack.”

But how do you make sure that conflict doesn’t ruin your relationship 'n instead helps it grow? The good news is that “most fighting comes from skill deficits,” according to Susan Heitler, Ph.D, a Denver clinical psychologist.

So you can learn to approach conflict in a constructive 'n effective way. Below are tips to help you do just that.

But just remember that these are general guidelines. “Couples relationships —as all human relationships—are complex 'n operate at multiple levels with potentially dozens of choice points at any given moment in time,” noted Robert Solley, Ph.D, a San Francisco clinical psychologist specializing in couples therapy.

Work on your listening skills. Communication is key to resolving conflict. The bedrock of good communication? Fully listening to your partner without building a case in your head of how your partner is wrong, said Batshaw, also author of the forthcoming Things You Need to Know Before Getting Married: The Essential Guide to a Successful Marriage.

Couples who are stuck in conflict are unable to empathize with their partner, he said. For tips, see our article on active listening 'n effective speaking.

Participate in shared problem solving. Consider the concerns behind your perspective. Heitler helps her clients lay out their concerns, so they can then brainstorm solutions together, instead of each partner arguing his or her point.

For instance, one couple kept fighting about parking: He didn’t want his wife to park in the parking garage when running her errands downtown; she thought this was ridiculous because a parking garage was sometimes her only option to find a space. So they looked deeper into their concerns, said Heitler, who co-created an online program called Power of Two, which helps couples build successful relationships 'n problem-solve effectively.

What really concerned him were the narrow spaces, which resulted in the car getting scratched or dented by other car doors. The final straw was her backing the car into a pole. Ultimately, his concern was paying for the expensive damages. What concerned her was finding a parking spot to run errands 'n get to important engagements like doctors’ appointments. Sometimes, there were no spots outside.

During their brainstorming session, he suggested buying a wide rear-view mirror for her car so she’s less likely to bang poles, 'n offered to drive her into town, which is easier now that he’s working from home. She said that she’d be more selective about finding a space in the parking garage 'n drive up to the upper levels, where the cars aren’t so crowded. She’d park in the middle of the space to prevent other car doors from banging into hers. She also decided to park on the outskirts of town 'n walk, because she wanted to get more physical activity into her day.

“The assumption is every concern of yours is a concern of mine,” Heitler said. Plus, “You can get a win-win solution by finding an action plan that’s responsive to all the concerns.” This means that couples don’t feel like one is surrendering to the other. Both partners win because their concerns are answered.

“By listening to each other’s concerns 'n each trying to be responsive, they came up with a whole new set of solutions,” Heitler said. (She noted that you can only go through shared problem solving when you’re both in a “relaxed 'n positive emotional state.”)

Most importantly, she said, in a tug of war, this couple would be against each other 'n reacting with negative feelings, such as frustration. Instead, they had a fun time brainstorming together, 'n ended up “being more loving, intimate 'n connected than ever.”

Address specific behaviors. Orbuch, also the author of 5 Simple Steps to Take Your Marriage from Good to Great, suggested addressing specific behaviors rather than personality traits. She said that this is easier to hear for the other person 'n he or she has a good idea of what to work on.

Talk when you’re calm. “The atmosphere has to stay emotionally safe enough so that both people can put out each of their ideas/feelings/experience about the conflict 'n then they can have a respectful conversation about it without attachment to who is right or who is wrong,” according to Solley.

Don’t start a conversation “if you feel overwhelmed by emotion because it clouds your thinking 'n distorts things,” Batshaw said. He added that “You also don’t want to be overly detached.” It’s important to think about what you want to say in a thoughtful way.

If emotions run high, take a break. Again, it’s vital to be calm while you’re talking about the conflict, but realistically someone is bound to become upset, frustrated or irritated. If you find yourself getting emotional, take a break to calm down. If you can’t calm down, “table the discussion for another day,” Batshaw said.

Create boundaries. “Have some boundaries about what is acceptable behavior 'n what isn’t, [such as] no cursing, no physical interaction, no yelling or screaming,” Batshaw said. “Just like on a soccer field, as soon as people go out of bounds, the play stops,” Heitler added.

Start with side-to-side conversations. In her research, Orbuch found that “men are much more likely to be able to communicate more clearly, easily 'n effectively, when talking about a difficult topic” when they’re doing an activity such as walking, biking or hiking.” Side-to-side conversations may be a good way to start.

Apologize. Orbuch said that an apology can go a long way. “We all make mistakes 'n we need to acknowledge that we had a part in an argument that [gets] out of hand,” she said. You don’t have to say, “I’m sorry I said that,” but it can be as simple as “I’m sorry, we’re fighting.”

Seek counseling. If you’re stuck on a specific conflict or one of you doesn’t want to talk about it, even when pressed, consider seeing a couples therapist, Batshaw said. “The sooner you get [help], the easier, more cost effective, 'n the longer you can enjoy a happier relationship together!” Solley said.

In general, you want to avoid steamrolling 'n resentful surrender, he said. “These are both efforts to ease short-term pain, but they result in chronic damage to the relationship that builds up to misery 'n animosity in the long-term.”

They key also is not to be afraid of conflict, Batshaw said. As mentioned above, he explained that avoiding conflict actually gets couples into trouble.

Also, Solley added that “John Gottman’s research shows that about two-thirds of a couple’s problems actually never go away. In successful couples the difference is that they learn to talk about the problems in a flexible 'n considerate way, with perspective 'n without blaming each other for their differences.”

8 Ways to Ruin Your Relationship...

How to Ruin Your Relationship...
While most of the time we try 'n stay positive here on World of Psychology, every now 'n again reality sucker-punches us back to our senses (although not personally affecting me).

The fact remains that despite our wise advice over the years, we haven't budged the divorce rate in the U.S. (not that we thought we could!). Most relationships fail there's simply no way to argue with it.

So maybe it would help some of our readers to catch a sign of their failing relationship before it's too late. Sure, we all would like to think that we could see the end of our relationship coming from a mile away. But truth is, many of us need a little help.

To that end, here are 8 ways you can bet you're ruining your relationship 'n heading to splitsville.

1. Take your partner for granted.

There's no better way to help hurry the end of the relationship than to just assume your partner is always there to make your life easier. Whether it's by going to work or staying at home, cooking dinner or doing the grocery shopping, the ins 'n outs of our every day existence can take an especially hard toll when it comes to taking that special someone in our lives for granted.

Acknowledge your significant other's efforts to your joint relationship 'n life together (no matter who is doing what). Say "Thank you" 'n "please" for being served something or for someone doing you a favor. After all, you wouldn’t treat a stranger in your home in that manner, so why would you treat the one you love any worse?

2. Stop talking.

Remember the start of your relationship? You couldn't stop talking! You might’ve spent all night talking to one another, or countless hours on the phone or cuddled up on a couch somewhere.

Relationships die when the two people in it stop talking. 'n I don’t mean actual, physical talking (“We talk all the time!”). I mean the kind of real, honest conversations that couples have all the time at the beginning of a relationship, but which fade over time. Here's help for improving your communication with your partner.

That fading is a natural progression in most relationships. The key is to not let that fading turn into never having those real conversations (which aren't about the kids, your jobs, or what you read on TMZ today).

3. Stop expressing your feelings.

As we go along in a relationship, it's also natural to stop saying, "I love you" as often. Or showing anger when you're angry at your partner, or showing adoration when you're feeling especially loving toward them. It's as if the extremes of our emotions are taken away, 'n all we have left is a lot of moderate, unsexy feelings.

As much as you might think those feelings are too boring to share, they remain just as important to share. Yes, the passionate feelings at the beginning of any relationship tend to fade for most people. But that doesn't mean you stop feeling, or that you should stop telling your loved one how you feel.

4. Stop listening.

Nobody likes to not be heard. So there's no better way to kill a relationship than to stop listening to what your partner has to say.

It shows a lack of respect for the person, 'n of course your significant other will pick up on the fact that you’re no longer listening. If nobody's listening, how can a relationship grow or thrive? Especially important is something called active listening, which shows your partner you're actively engaged in the conversation.

5. Kill the fun.

We hook up together in life for many reasons — shared perspectives 'n outlooks, physical attraction, shared spirituality, shared professional lives, etc. But we also enjoy one another’s company because it's fun!

When fun leaves a relationship, it can be a sign that the relationship is heading to the rocks. Fun is a part of life 'n it's definitely a part of any healthy relationship. However you 'n your significant other define fun, it's important to keep doing it even as your relationship matures.

Love to dance but haven't been in years? It's time to make a new dance date. Met while hiking or kayaking, but haven't made time to do it in months (or years)? Pack the backpack 'n get your outdoors on.

6. Nitpick.

Boy, am I guilty of this one! I've probably nitpicked a few past relationships into an early death. Not because I wanted to, but because it was a personal concern whose impact I never fully understood (until it was too late).

Nobody likes being told what to do, or how to do it. While some people may be more open to "suggestions" than other from their helpful partner, it can also be seen as nitpicking for little good reason.

Really? There's a "better" way to clean the sink? That’s nice… use it the next time you do it then.

When I want to nitpick nowadays, I just keep in mind that if I want to go to the trouble of offering unrequested advice, I might as well suggest I do it myself. Or just do it next time myself, without having someone needing to ask.

Nitpicking may be a sign of needing to "control" others, but it may also just be a sign of the way some people were brought up. In any case, it's a bad habit 'n one you should try 'n curtail in your relationship.

7. Threaten.

Wow, threatening your significant other is such a turn-on. Yeah, no it's not. Whether you're threatening to leave, chop off a bit of anatomy, tell someone's parents, or find a better life in Maui, it’s never a good sign for a healthy relationship.

Threats are often made in an act of desperation or feeling like a situation is out of control — the threat is an attempt to regain control. However, threats are juvenile 'n more suited for children’s temper tantrums than an adult, mature relationship.

When a partner resorts to threats, it's time to re-evaluate the relationship’s long-term potential.

8. Ignore your partner.

They say the one thing worse than being hated by someone is simply to be ignored by them. Being ignored means the person doesn't even care enough to waste the energy of anger on you.

The same is true with relationships. If you take a lot of the previous tips 'n add them together, you have active ignoring. If you’re ignoring your partner (or vice-a-versa) for any period of time longer than a few days, that’s a sure sign the relationship is in trouble.

You don't hook up with a person only to be ignored by them. If anybody wanted that, we'd simply go relive our high school prom. (Ooops, I shared too much!)

* * *
The good news is that these signs don't necessarily mean your relationship is over. There is always hope, especially when both of your recognize some of these signs 'n decide you want to reconnect to try 'n grow your relationship.

If you can't do it on your own — 'n a weekend getaway may be a good way to try — don't fret. Although it may sound scary or extreme to think about, this is exactly what couple's counseling is for. Any good couple's therapist can help most couples improve their relationship in just a few sessions (although it may take more than a few, depending upon the seriousness of the problems).

Talk to your partner about your concerns. Then seek help if your own personal attempts to help improve the relationship don't work out. I believe a great number of relationships have the possibility of being saved, if both partners are committed to working on changing it — 'n then take action.
