Today, I was in my room contemplating on what to write, because since 2 weeks ago, I have been depressed due to My Mum that passed away on the 8/6/2010 and this has caused me some pains and worries. Suddenly my son walked in and had this cute smile on his face, he came straight to me and gave me a kiss and smiled back. At that moment, I had this relive and a thought came to me to write motivational quotes that can strengthen the depressed.
If you’ve time today, I invite you to join me in this self discovery journey as we go through these 100 wonderful inspirational positive quotes.
“Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits.”
Thomas Jefferson
“True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so wants nothing. The great blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not. ”

“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail agai. Fail better.”
-Samuel Beckett
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”
― Winston Churchill
“When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don’t you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out. Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–You may succeed with another blow, Success is failure turned inside out–The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far; So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.”

What will you do with this priceless treasure? Remember, you must use it, as it is given only once. Once wasted you cannot get it back.”

On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.”

“No one who lived through the Great Depression can ever look upon an unemployed person with anything but compassion. To me, there is no greater tragedy than a breadwinner willing to work, with a job skill but unable to find a market for that job skill. Back in those dark depression days I saw my father on a Christmas eve open what he thought was a Christmas greeting from his boss. Instead, it was the blue slip telling him he no longer had a job. The memory of him sitting there holding that slip of paper and then saying in a half whisper, ‘That’s quite a Christmas present,’ it will stay with me as long as I live.”
